During the Xiaomi 14 Ultra launch event, the company also introduced the first Redmi laptops with Intel Core Ultra processors. In addition to the 14-inch and 16-inch laptop models, a new gaming monitor was also introduced among the products. Redmi Book Pro 2024 models introduced
Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 features a 14-inch screen with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels (16:10) and up to 120 Hz dynamic refresh rate. The panel features 100% sRGB coverage and promises up to 400 nits brightness with DC dimming. The laptop has a fully metal body with a thickness of 15.9 mm and a weight of 1.46 kg.
In the basic configuration, there is an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H with 4 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 2 low-power cores (total of 18 threads), along with an 18MB L3 cache. This option can be configured with either 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage or 32 GB and 1 TB (RAM is LPDDR5x).
For more power, there is an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with 6 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 2 low-power cores (total of 22 threads), along with a 24 MB L3 cache. This option can only be configured with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD.
The laptop relies on integrated Intel Arc graphics. The Ultra 5 chip has 7 Xe cores at 2.2 GHz, while the Ultra 7 has an extra Xe core and a slightly higher frequency at 2.25 GHz. Both support hardware-accelerated ray tracing and have NPU cores that accelerate AI features in applications.
AI tasks include noise reduction, transcription, framing you at the center of the 1080p webcam, and more. WPS AI technology allows you to type documents, summarize existing ones, and even help with spreadsheet formulas.
Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 features a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 3,072 x 1,920 pixels (16:10) and a dynamic refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. It also maintains 100% sRGB coverage and DDC dimming while being brighter than the 14-inch panel with a maximum brightness of 500 nits. Both support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with two 2W speakers.
The 16” laptop is 15.9 mm thick and weighs 1.88 kg. This comes with a larger 99Wh battery (the largest battery you can carry on a plane). It also comes with a 140W GaN adapter. The Redmi Book Pro 14 2024 starts at 5,000 CNY ($700/€650/₹57,500), while the larger Redmi Book Pro 16 2024 starts at 6,000 CNY ($835/€780/₹69,000).
